Treating yourself all the time can lead to being spoiled. We love it when others treat us but we can also do things pleasurable with ourselves. Getting an item or going to an event that brings us joy is very healthy. Not sure what to do? Try these:

  • Buy a new outfit -You don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to get the latest styles. You can hit the thrift store or if you prefer you can hit the mall. It can feel great to strut your stuff in front of the mirror in a brand new outfit.
  • Visit a spa -This can get a bit pricey. However, by making it a rare treat, the full spa experience can be revitalizing. A spa day can also be done at home with the supplies you likely already have.
  • Ride a rollercoaster -I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Every year there is a fair that comes to town and I make a point to ride on at least one roller coaster. It is a rush that is entirely worth it. Just make sure you don’t eat a big meal before you go on one.
  • Eat your favorite food -From pizza to lobster we all have our favorites. Especially if your favorite food is something that you do not get to eat on a regular basis, it is a wonderful treat to indulge in.

In whatever way you decide to treat yourself, remember the rule of thumb: all things in moderation. If you do not feel like you can afford to treat you want, try cutting spending another areas of your life. We will save those tips for another post.
